Two events will be coming to The Colony this month. One is a community event with the police, and another is an evening guided wildlife tour.
Such special events can be promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
National Night Out is a campaign to foster community connections and promote partnerships with the police and the community. The Colony Police Department (TCPD) will be holding its own National Night Out community event at The Colony Police Department on North Colony Boulevard. Among the activities will be Touch-A-Truck and an Open House. This will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7.
Donna Cole, Texas Master Naturalist, will be partnering with Keep The Colony Beautiful for an Owl and Howl Prowl event along the Shoreline Trail later in the month. This will be a free guided tour after hours that will enable attendees to explore the trail and search for Signs, tracks, and wildlife. The wildlife activity and nighttime ecosystem of the trail will be showcased during this leisurely walk. Attendees will learn about the wildlife that lives in the community and how to identify sounds from local animals that are awake during the night.
There is no charge for this event, and it is open to the public. The walk will be a round trip of one to two miles.
This event will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday October 21. The meeting place for the event will be at the Shoreline Trailhead in Ridgepointe at 6:15 p.m.
