A new location of Costco will be opening a warehouse in Grandscape at The Colony.
The warehouse will span 155,000 square feet and will be near Sam Rayburn Tollway at West Spring Creek Road. Hiring for all positions is now underway. Banner printing can be used to announce the coming of such stores as well as open positions.
This membership warehouse is known around the world for its loyal base of customers and value-driven pricing. North Texans have been waiting for this addition to Grandscape as it adds a retail component to a site mainly geared around entertainment, and will create a balance between destination experiences and practical shopping.
Ron Vachris, President and CEO of Costco, said that his company is planning to open over 30 stores per year over the next five to ten years. The United States would be the home for about half of those stores with the remaining stores opening in various locations around the world. He said the company is considering opening stores in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Asia, Cananda, and Mexico.
There are 900 locations of Costco around the world, and it boasts over 80 million paid members. There are two options for membership - the Gold State Membership at $65 a year and the Executive Membership at $130 a year.
The new Costco is expected to open sometime next month.
