The Colony to host music festival to honor veterans

The annual Veterans Day Music Festival will be coming to The Colony this month.

This annual event will be a salute to first responders and veterans and will be held at The Colony Five Star Complex. It will feature live music, activities for the family, carnival rides, a car show and a drone show, and a silent auction.

Such events often call for poster printing to help spread the word about them throughout a city and surrounding communities.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. while the festival officially opens at noon. The performances will be on the Community stage from noon to 5:00 p.m. and will feature Hunter Hayes, a multi-instrumentalist and platinum-selling artist, and Pam Tillis, a CMA and Grammy award winning singer.

The car show will run from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 1:00 p.m., judging at 3;00 p.m., and awards given out at 4:00 p.m. A ceremony for veterans will take place at 5:45 p.m. The silent auction runs all day and closes at 6:00 p.m. The drone show will take place at 8:00 p.m.

The festival will be on Saturday November 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event is free but VIP tickets at a cost of $75 each are available and allow access to a premium concert viewing area, two complimentary drink coupons, and dinner.
