The annual Citywide Fall Cleanup will be hosted by Republic Waste Services and the city of The Colony later this month. It will be held in the parking lot of the waterpark at Hawaiian Waters.
Banner printing can be used at such sites to inform residents of an upcoming event.
Residents can bring such items as furniture, appliances, large tree limbs, debris from remolding, lumber, scrap metal, and fencing materials to dispose of conveniently. Among the other items that will be accepted are all types of electronics, such as printers and monitors; televisions; and copiers. The city is limiting the number of monitors and televisions to four per resident and the number of tires to eight. There will also be shredding services at the cleanup for residents who have confidential documents that need to be destroyed and the removal of freon from appliances.
Not accepted at the cleanup will be chemicals or liquids of any kind, including household hazardous waste and paint. Residents who want to dispose of these items can bring them on the same day and during the same hours to the Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Center on North Colony Road.
Residents will be required to show proof of residency and are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the NTX Community Food Pantry.
The Citywide Fall Cleanup will be held on Saturday October 19 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
