The Colony proud to praise papas at palooza

The Colony Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Father’s Day in style this year with their first Annual Papapalooza. The evening event combines music, food, and

fun all against the backdrop of the Colony’s beautiful parks.

The event will take place at Stewart Creek Park, famous for its lakeside views and gorgeous sunsets. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, balls, blankets, and whatever else will help them relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. The pavilion and play areas will all be open for the event, so families are encouraged to bring children.

In addition the Parks and Rec department will be sponsoring live music for the palooza. The Enablers, a Lewisville-based top 40 cover band, will be performing the whole evening. They will even take requests from the audience, and every genre of music from pop to hip-hop and everything in between is welcome. Food trucks will also be brought in to sell a variety of food from hamburgers to burritos and more.

The First Annual Papapalooza will be held on Saturday, June 18 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Stewart Creek Park, located at 3700 Sparks Road. Admission to the park is free starting at 5:30, but there will be some cost for food.
