New musical to come to The Colony

Grandscape in The Colony will be premiering “His Story: The Musical,” which will run during the spring and summer.

Promoting such special events is often accomplished with banner and poster printing.

Anna Miriam Brown created and wrote the musical, which is focused on a man who comes to a big city and goes against all expectations. Brown took inspiration for the musical from “Hamilton,” the musical on Broadway. Producers Bruce Lazarus, and Korie and Willie Robertson are also involved in bringing the musical to life.

The musical will be performed in a state-of-the-art Broadway tent that will seat 1,300 people. It will be built in front of the Ferris wheel at Grandscape on what is currently an empty lot. It will have 360-degree overhead projection mapping, plush seating, and will be both heated and air-conditioned. The tent was designed by Matthew Churchill Productions, Ltd.

Speaking at a press event held just before Christmas, Richard Boyer, mayor of The Colony, expressed his thanks to the partners at Grandscape who are making it possible to bring this musical to The Colony. He added his thrill in presenting this show, which will be so meaningful to many people in the region and to visitors from out of state.

Performances will begin on Friday, May 5 and will run until mid-September.
