The first location of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill recently opened in The Colony. The Colony Chamber of Commerce was the host for the Grand Opening ceremony.
The restaurant is 2,200 square feet and can seat up to 49 guests inside and 24 additional guests on the patio. Heather and Derrick Udy own and operate the restaurant.
The Great Greek Mediterranean features a traditional Greek menu with a contemporary flair inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean. The menu includes a classic Greek salad, gyros, and entrees with lamb, steak, chicken or shrimp, as well as desserts and appetizers. There is a kids’ menu and catering services are available. Derrick Udy said that his father was stationed in Germany when he was a child and they often visited Greece. They introduced to him the Greek culture and food, with which he fell in love, and this is the reason for opening this restaurant. His parents will come to the restaurant whenever they are in the area.
