Drive Shack Inc. will be coming to Grandscape, the new mixed-use development in The Colony, by the end of this year.
Banner printing can be used at such sites to inform the community of such new facilities and offerings.
This location will feature the first Urban Box concept of the company, which includes mini golf instead of traditional driving bays. There will also be a bar and a restaurant. This will be the company’s second Urban Box concept to debut this year as there is another such location with 18 holes in Charlotte.
Drive Shack Inc. has four facilities with traditional driving bays in North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida and there are plans to build four more by 2022 in Newport Beach, Manhattan, Chicago, and New Orleans.
The facility will be 20,500 square feet in size and have 36 holes of mini golf. The cost to build the facility is expected to be $3.5m and is being designed by Barker Nestor Inc., an architectural firm based in Chicago.
This new location is part of the company’s strategy to enter the market of Topgolf, which has its headquarters in Dallas. There are 65 locations of Topgolf across the United States and the company has unveiled its own concept for a smaller venue as it plans to build such venues in Waco, Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Augusta, Georgia.
