Construction recently began on The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in The Colony on Plano Parkway. This fast-casual restaurant is the first one in the chain to be located in Texas.
The restaurant will be 2,210 square feet in size and will be able to seat 49 people. It will serve food with a Mediterranean flair and will include wholesome appetizers and sides, grilled meat and vegetables, and salads and soups that feature the spirit and flavor of the Mediterranean and Greek cultures. Entrée dishes of lamb will be served, along with their signature Greek rice bowl, baklava for dessert, and a kid’s menu.
There will also be catering and take-out services available. Derrick Udy, owner of the restaurant, commented that people in The Colony will enjoy the delicious and fresh food served in a relaxed and casual dining experience. Meals are made to order yet prepared quickly with an eye towards customer satisfaction.
Udy said that construction should take about three months, so that January 2019 will see the grand opening of the restaurant.
The Great Greek chain has been expanding rapidly with new locations opening in South Florida, Texas, Colorado, and Nevada over the past year.
