Hospital in The Colony upgrades to full-service community hospital

The status of The Colony ER Hospital has recently changed from freestanding emergency center to medical specialty hospital. The hospital has become a state-of-the-art facility that will offer a wide range of medical services to the local community and make the facility the first community hospital in The Colony.

Chief Nurse Officer, Lori Guerrero, commented that this change at The Colony ER Hospital will enable a larger variety of illnesses and injuries to be treated and will also provide the capability of in-patient care.

The facility is over 14,000 square feet in size and will now also offer laboratory services, out-patient imaging, and access to leading specialists in the area. As part of the diagnostic imaging technology, there will be digital radiology, bedside emergency ultrasound, CT scans, and a full clinical laboratory.

Nutex Health, the hospital’s corporate partner, supported the change in status. Dr. Tom Vo, CEO of Nutex Health, said that this upgrade is part of the hospital’s missions to provide convenient and reliable healthcare to the community. He added that the hospital is a medical facility that is one of the many such upscale and successful facilities in the Nutex Health Network.
