Golf tournament in The Colony to raise funds

The Topgolf venue in the Colony will be the host for Fore Frisco held by Leadership Frisco Class 26 later this month.

This will be a fundraising event to support two Frisco non-profit organizations—the Lone Star Abilities Network and Frisco Flyers. These organizations work to improve the quality of life for adults and families with children who have special needs, providing them with social, educational, and recreational resources. News of such events and their fundraising efforts can be spread throughout the area with poster printing.

A member of the executive board of the Lone Star Abilities Network, Melanie Neystel, said the Fore Frisco event and generous donors will enable the non-profit to expand its services to those in need in the community.

A leadership program of the community, Leadership Frisco lasts nine months and is sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. The program requires each class to select and complete a fundraising project. Leadership Frisco Class 26 decided on the gold tournament fundraiser. The inspiration for this event was the result of visiting several non-profit organizations in the area and learning about the needs of the community.

Co-lead of Leadership Frisco Class 26, Sharon White, said that this event represents the commitment to the program shared by everyone in the class, to each other, and to the beneficiaries.

Fore Frisco will be held on Monday, April 24 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm.
