Chicago-favorite eatery to come to The Colony
Portillo’s, known for its Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago-style hot dogs, cheese fries, chocolate cake shake, and homemade chocolate cake, will be opening a location in Grandscape in The Colony. This will be the first location of the chain in Texas.

This Portillo’s will have seats for 180 patrons in a space that covers 7,900 square feet. There will also be space for 80 guests in two air-conditioned patios.
President of Grandscape, Jeff Lind, expressed his excitement about welcoming the iconic brand to the complex. He said that the mission of Grandscape is to create a one-of-a-kind visitor experience and to be a destination for brands that are often the first in their market. He said that Portillo’s is known for its services and menu items and that Grandscape is looking forward to this being the chain’s first home in the state.
President and CEO of Portillo’s, Michael Osanloo, also expressed his excitement about the Texas market. He said that the largest number of shipping customers is from Texas and people have been requesting a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the state. He said that fans are looking forward to the restaurant and it is certain to be a “home run” for them.
