A satellite museum on Jefferson Avenue, which doubles as a restaurant, is the next dining destination for the Dallas Observer’s supper club.
Just four miles off the Stemmons Freeway, Ateliê boasts a menu that offers Caribbean-, African-, and European-influenced choices. Steller menu items include cacio e peppe and a half chicken.
Creating the most effective menu usually means working with a local Print shop.
The restaurant is the creation of chef Wyl Lima, a native of Angola who has lived in Texas since he was nine years old. Lima’s resumé includes time spent at Sister in Dallas and in Fort Worth’s Le Margo, where his head chef role earned him a place on the country’s list of best restaurants in 2022. He then opened his own restaurant in Knox-Henderson called The Charlotte, which focused on Southern food.
An upgrade from pop-up dinners hosted by Lima in Oak Cliff, Ateliê is in the Daisha Board Gallery, enabling diners to enjoy art and possibly purchase an item to take home.
The dinner will take place at 6:30 pm on Thursday, November 12 at 367 W. Jefferson Blvd. and will consist of a five-course meal, two drinks, and tip and gratuity for $125 per person. This supper club event will be somewhat unusual in that it will be open to non-members as well as Dallas Observer members.
