Dallas Market Hall to host International Guitar Festival

The largest, as well as oldest, guitar show in the world will be held this weekend here in Dallas at Market Hall.

The Dallas International Guitar Festival, which takes place at 2200 N. Stemmons Freeway, will feature more than 200 exhibitors, some of whom will have booths in multiple locations within the venue. On hand will be mix of celebrities, musicians, collectors, and fans buying, selling, trading, or simply window shopping the many items available.

Festivals offer entrepreneurs promotional opportunities via distribution of their business cards.

In addition to viewing several thousands of new and vintage guitars, amps, banjos, basses, mandolins, keyboards, effect pedals, straps and strings, and music memorabilia, attendees can also enjoy a variety of performances by over 50 bands. Local, regional, and national bands will be included in the entertainment across the festival’s four music stages during the three-day event, with headliners including Andy Timmons, Sonny Landreth, and Ian Moore.

The Guitar Festival takes place from noon to 7:00 pm this Friday, May 2; 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 3; and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 4.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door during public hours with cash or a credit card. No food can be brought in, but attendees can bring blankets and chairs for concert viewing. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
