It is once again time for Niche.com to release its college rankings and this year’s list looks very much like last year’s, with three Dallas-Fort Worth institutions of higher learning finding their way into the state’s top 10 universities.
The rankings are compiled using data from the U.S. Department of Education in conjunction with current students, parents, and alumni reviews. Over 1,000 institutions of higher learning were compared across the county regarding 12 areas, among which were dorm life, the campus, academics, and professors.
Brochure printing services are frequently asked to include results of these types of studies in their products.
Southern Methodist University (SMU) here in Dallas and Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth were ranked No. 4 and No. 6 respectfully, just as they were in 2021. The University of Texas at Dallas scored the No. 9 spot, which is one spot higher than it was ranked in 2021.
SMU garnered an A+ for both its Academics and “Party Scene”. TCU received A grades in Academics and “Party Scene,” but its best grade was an A+ for Campus. The University of Texas at Dallas earned its highest rating, an A, in Diversity.
The No. 1 Texas school went once again to Rice University in Houston, which was ranked No. 6 in the U.S. up from 7th place in 2021. This year’s top spot among institutions of higher learning in the U.S. was taken by Boston’s Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
