The flourishing culinary scene on Knox Street here in Dallas will be welcoming a new eatery called The Main House at 3333 Knox Street in the space formerly occupied by Mashburn at the Katy Trail corner.
The same group that brought il Bracco to the Preston Center Plaza, Western Addition Restaurant Group, is responsible for the introduction of The Main House. It will be one of several restaurants that are planned to open on Knox Street among which will be Sant Ambroeus and Thea Mediterranean Rooftop.

Even before its opening, The Main House can anticipate a couple of advantages such as its location in proximity to the Katy Trail. The restaurant’s patio opens immediately onto the trail, which will likely attract diners from those who use it as well as those who will choose the restaurant’s patio to enjoy the view. Another advantage is the new restaurant’s hours that include breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, which is unusual for a Western Addition eatery.
The Main House menu will feature sandwiches on in-house-made bread, shareable dishes, entrée salads and breakfast specialties.
MMaison Interiors based here in Dallas is charged with designing the interior using inspiration derived from family retreat structures such as lake and beach houses. This will include large windows and natural materials to flawlessly link the indoor and outdoor eating areas.
The Main House is expected to open in 2027.
