Bonton Farms, a nonprofit in South Dallas, has recently announced that will be opening a second storefront at DFW International Airport.
The first Bonton Farms at the airport, which had a low-key opening in mid-August, is in Terminal A and covers 2,895 square feet. The second location will be a significantly smaller newsstand that will be 551 square feet in proximity to the A-Pier opening in October.
Banner printing services help businesses attract attention, particularly newly opened ones.
A release by the organization explained that each of the airport stores will be selling items such as handmade jam, locally harvested honey, soap made from goat’s milk, Apparel and other products created by local entrepreneurs or “Bontonpreneurs” that the nonprofit’s business-development programs support. Also available will be fresh food such as wraps, sandwiches, salads and sweets, plus souvenirs, travel essentials and gifts.
Bonton Farms is a nonprofit farm, community hub and market that started out as a modest beekeeping operation in the neighborhood. It has grown to encompass two farm sites, farmer’s market, a coffeehouse, farm-to-table Café and preservatory. The organization also has programs focused on education, workforce development, economic opportunities, health and wellness.
A subsidiary of WHSmith North America, the Marshall Retail Group, will be operating the airport shops, which will be known simply as “Bonton Farms”, in partnership with the organization. They are designed to expose travelers to Bonton Farms who might otherwise not have the opportunity to interact the organization and what it has to offer.
