Mexico City company chooses Dallas for U.S. debut

Atìpico, a small one-of-kind, independently owned chain will be opening its third location, and its first in the United States, in the Union Dallas building at 2300 N. Field Street.

In Spanish, Atìpico means “atypical”, which is a fitting description of the restaurant’s business model. Founded in Mexico City by Claudia de Murga in 2018, both the menu and concept were inspired by de Murga’s six daughters, with each dish a reflection of their individual preferences. Quoted by Dallas Culture Map, de Murga explained that it has always been a struggle to cater to their different tastes, and this inspired the restaurant.

Printing services are an excellent source of advice when it comes to navigating the numerous branding opportunities available to a new business.

What de Murga came up with was a restaurant that serves international cuisine with a creative flair and Menus evolving to satisfy the dietary of almost every type of diner, including keto, gluten-free, and vegan.

A look at an Atìpico menu will reveal wontons, soups, pasta bowls, and desserts. Many breakfast items are available, including oatmeal with fresh fruit and yogurt granola parfaits.

Adding to the appeal of her newest location for de Murga is its walkability to the American Airlines Center and a variety of museums and galleries.

Atiìpico expects to open sometime in June at the Union Dallas, a 309 apartment, 31-story residential tower and 22-story office tower complex.
