Harwood District to have luxury boutique hotel open in 2023

Developer Harwood International expects to open its Hôtel Swexan in its 19-block Harwood District next year.

The hotel will be the latest addition for Harwood, the entire village created in proximity to downtown Dallas. Hôtel Swexan, a 22-story modern tower, will contain 134 rooms. Its name drew inspiration from the multi-generational heritage of Harwood’s founders who were Swiss transplants to Texas; the name is a way of saying “Swiss meets Texan.”

Business Stationery printers can supply numerous printed supplies to hotels.

The Swexan will make the third Harwood District building designed by Kengo Kuma, the celebrated Japanese architect. The building will follow Kuma’s philosophy to strengthen the architecture and landscape connection by featuring a mirrored exterior.

Inspiration for the structure’s interior architectural is drawn from a residence-turned-hotel in 19th-century Paris.

Dining options on hand from the lobby include a two-story, dimly lit cocktail bar; a hidden underground lounge; and an area where all-day high tea and martinis are offered.

Guestrooms will have floor-to-ceiling windows that display an expansive view of the Dallas skyline. Rooms will feature five-fixture baths, and guests will have access to a 75-foot infinity-edge, rooftop swimming pool. Ten suites will be available; six on the grand premier suite floor with an additional four on another floor, of which two will be premier garden balcony suites.

Hôtel Swexan is expected to open in the summer of 2023.
