Dallas among best cities for remote workers

Frisco has taken the top spot among U.S. cities for employees working remotely, but The Big D is close behind.

Dallas took the No. 3 spot among best cities for remote working in the U.S. and came in second among Lone Star State cities as judged by Austin-based LawnStarter, an outdoor services provider. To arrive at its ratings, LawnStarter weighed data from 194 of the country’s biggest cities taking into account 20 factors, including cost of living, remote job opportunities, availability of personal workspace, and internet connectivity.

According to editor-in-chief Jeff Herman of LawnStarter, Plano’s excellent broadband coverage, which garnered it a tie for first place in the state in that category, and its low crime rate (for which it received first place) boosted it into the top 10.

A varying assortment of criteria are important to those looking to relocate. Any studies in which a city performs well can be included with materials forwarded to printing services, ensuring they get a mention in future marketing materials.

In addition to Frisco at No. 1 and Dallas at No. 2, Texas also took home the No.4 national spot with Arlington and Plano at No. 8, Houston No. 11, and San Antonio No. 18. Rounding out the top five slots were Naperville, Illinois in the No. 2 position and Atlanta, Georgia in the No. 5 spot.
