What's Happening in Dallas, TX…

Coca-Colas Christmas comes to Dallas once again

The immersive Christmas extravaganza presented by Coca-Cola and Social House Entertainment is making at the former Valley View Mall in the Dallas Midtown area.

General sale tickets became available on September 9 for the event, which made a successful debut last year and will follow an “Alpine Adventure” theme. Included will be outdoor ice skating, slides, real snow flurries, and a magical mountain chalet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Among the family-friendly activities at the event will be Alpine Ice-Skating, offering skaters an opportunity to enjoy the activity outside with twinkle lights overhead, as well as enjoying visits from Santa and his wife. All this will be surrounded by a 90,000 square feet light display featuring sculptures and immersive scenes illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights.

Iconic Cinemark films such as The Polar Express, Elf, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be shown. In addition, there will be an ice snow slide, ugly sweater contests, Christmas karaoke, bands, and carolers with trailside treats consisting of themed snacks, holiday cocktails, hot cocoa, and, of course, Coca-Cola.

The Coca-Cola brand has been closely associated with Christmas since the 1910s and was strengthened by the company’s ads during the 1930s featuring St. Nick decked out in the red suit with white fur trim, often credited with popularizing the Santa we see today.

Coca-Cola’s Classic Christmas will take place in Midtown Dallas from November 21 to December 28.
