Additional expansion planned for DFW Terminal F

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), in conjunction with American Airlines, has announced an acceleration of its plan to expand its new Terminal F.

The new plan increases the estimated amount to be spent on Terminal F to approximately $4bn, as well as extending the DFW and American Use and Lease Agreement to 2043. As per the recent new release, the number of gates will double with facilities added to accommodate growing international operations.

Other improvements made by the increased investment will include upping the capacity of Terminal F for international flight processing and widebody aircraft. Additionally, there will be a new dedicated parking garage, the creation of a new single passenger check-in building, an increase in lounge space as well as state-of-the-art amenities such as public art, restaurants and more shops.

Banner printing services as well as other types of well-designed signage are a must have for large facilities and venues.

Access across the airport’s terminals will also increase with a new centralized Skylink Station, plus a Terminal F to Terminal D walking connection.

With this newest vision for Terminal F, the airport’s investment through DFW Forward has now topped $12bn. The $3bn program to reimagine Terminal C, as well as expand Terminals A and C, is underway. Also, the first phase of Terminal F is scheduled to be online in 2027.

Once completed, American Airlines will be occupying all 31 gates of Terminal F.
