As the year-end holidays approach, Amazon has 250,000 positions it is looking to fill, including 18,000 across the Lone Star State of which 8,000 will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Available jobs will include seasonal positions both full-time and part-time. Amazon’s seasonal positions offer flexible schedules, competitive pay and the potential to be offered regular, full-time employment once the holidays are over. Seasonal employees regardless of position earn a minimum of $18 an hour and can access comprehensive benefits that include health care coverage on day one of their employment.
Many companies find advertising their sales and filling large numbers of empty local positions easier by going old school and turning to poster or flyer printing services.
Amazon estimates that about one-third of its seasonal employees return year after year and those employees can over their first three years see an increase in pay of 15 percent.
Among the incentives Amazon offers is anytime access to earned pay; career advancement; health, dental and vision insurance from first day at work, and pregnancy or parental leave pay for 20 weeks for birth parents. There is also a company 401(k) match, Amazon’s Resources for Living program and an Amazon Prime employee discount.
Interested parties can sign up for job alerts by texting NEWJOB to 31462 or check out their site online. Open positions are posted during the holiday season.
