Worlds best female tennis players to compete in Austin

The ATX Open in Austin has confirmed several big name women’s tennis players will compete at this year’s event.

Ajla Tomljanović, with three quarterfinal grand slam finishes, will compete in the ATX Open for the first time. Croatian-born Tomljanović plays for Australia and tennis fans took notice when she reached the finals at both the US Open and Wimbledon in 2022, and finished the year at number 33 in the world rankings. She was plagued with injuries in the following two years but battled back and, last fall, won the Hong Kong WTA 125 title for the second time in her career.

The ATX Open will feature 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. Joining Tomljanović in debuting at the tournament are American star players Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys. The Austin event is part of the Holigic WTA tour and is one of just four ladies' tour-level tennis competitions held in the US.

This year the tournament has a new range of ticket options that includes mid-week unreserved seating and reduced junior pricing for ages 14 and under. Organizers of large scale sporting events such as this often use area Print shops for their banner printing needs.

The ATX Open will be held at the Westwood Country Club in Austin beginning with the qualifying round from February 22 to 23. The main draw will be played from February 24 to March 2.
