Two diverse musical acts to perform in Austin

Residents in Austin can look forward to welcoming Thundercat to the city soon, along with Shabazz Palaces.

A renowned bass player and songwriter, as well as a Grammy winner, Thundercat got his start while he performed with a group out of Los Angeles called Suicidal Tendencies.

He has collaborated with artists including Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, and Erykah Badu. His solo performances include deep musical levels, psychedelic jazz creations, and unique experimental offerings. The music has been described as “weird, wild, and funky.”

Ishmael Butler, another Grammy winner, of Diggable Planets created Shabazz Palaces, an ensemble of hip-hop enthusiasts. It was signed to the Sub Pop label and has produced a string of recordings that feature funk and jazz.

Both artists attract appreciative audiences. Frequently, entertainment is featured in Brochures to help promote upcoming performances. The brochures can be printed in full color and include compelling text about the performers and venue. Contact information and ticket pricing can also be included.

Thundercat and Shabazz Palaces show will take place on Saturday, October 30 at 7:30 pm at the Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater. The venue is located at 801 Red River St, and general admission tickets start at $42.50. Deluxe tickets are also available, which include access to the lounge and private bar, express entry and complimentary food and drinks. All tickets can be purchased on the Eventbrite website.
