Millions of bats under Austin bridge

Batfest-Night of the Bat festival will be in Austin this summer at the Congress Avenue Bridge.

The event attracts over 30,000 attendees along with vendors, bands and special entertainment. Approximately 100 arts and crafts vendors will be participating in the festival bringing unique, fun, strange and memorable products. A couple dozen food and beverage vendors will also be there adding to the festivities.

In addition to the creative adventures of the weekend, over a million Mexican free-tail bats will be at the festival. They will rise from under the bridge when the sun goes down.

Bat costume contests will award best adult costume and best children’s costume each with $100.00. Lining up on stage, the crowd will choose the winners by applauding and cheering.

Banner printing will create signage to direct guests to specific areas of the event. The Banners can be printed on strong vinyl and hung high up for all to see quickly. The logo and theme of the event can be clearly included on Banners.

The 15th Annual Bat Fest will take place on the bridge on August 24 from 4:00 p.m. until midnight. Ticket pricing is $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. Special VIP packages are available at $140 which include front row seating and standing areas at the main stage, private restrooms, cooling fans, an event t-shirt, reserved parking and other perks.
