Largest 10K coming to Austin

The 44th Annual Cap10K will be back in Austin in a few months.

Started in 1978, it has grown to the largest race in the state and the sixth largest in the country, with over 30,000 runners. Statistics show runners from all 50 states as well as participants from 18 countries have joined in this race in the past. Proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations.

In partnership with the Statesman Cap10K organization, the race is presented by Baylor, Scott and White Health and covers 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) on a USAT&F certified course. Eight live bands will be positioned along the route to provide lively entertainment and cheer the participants along on their race journey. The race winds through scenic regional areas and hills, ending at Vic Mathias Shores along Lady Bird Lake.

Frequently, race organizers work with local printing services for ordering directional signage. Banner printing can create highly visible signage with pertinent information for parking locations, concessions, mile markers and the finish line.

Sponsorships are available. Interested parties may contact the organizers via the event website. Volunteers are always needed to assist with the numerous tasks involved in a race of this size.

The 44th Annual Cap10K will take place April 11, and registration is open online. Start time is 8:00 am. Participants should arrive early to receive their registration packets, instruction, and route information.
