More than 500 artists at galleries, home studios and museums will be in the spotlight for the annual Austin Studio Tour.
Presented by Big Medium, the event stretches over two weekends in November, giving tens of thousands of art enthusiasts the opportunity to experience Austin's distinctly vibrant visual arts scene. It allows for a connection between artists and the public, including direct sales expected to reach a total of over $1 million this year. Artists receiving this degree of exposure frequently use Print shops to provide them with Business Cards or Logo Design.
Big Medium is a non-profit organization formed in 2007 that is the catalyst for events that promote artists' careers, including exhibitions, studio tours and artist-in-residence programs. It assists in providing inexpensive space for artists to display their work and also sponsors awards and bursaries for leaders within the arts community.
This year marks the 22nd annual studio tour, although, due to financial constraints, Big Medium has announced that it may be the last. A fire in their newly built gallery and the end of some main sources of funding means the organization is actively seeking sponsors and donations.
The event is free to attend, and the self-guided tour will be divided into two districts on either side of Interstate Highway 35, allowing visitors to plan their attendance over the two weekends.
The Austin Studio Tour takes place on November 9 and 10 and November 16 and 17, 2024 from noon to 6 pm each day.
