Hip-hop veterans to visit Austin

Souls of Mischief, an iconic hip-hop group from Oakland, is set to host a performance in Austin this July.

The concert comes as a part of the group’s 93 Til Infinity 30th Anniversary Tour, named after the group´s debut album. The album, now 30 years old, blended jazz-infused rhythms with wordplay and introspective lyrics. Composed of rappers A-Plus, Opio, Phesto, and Tajai, Souls of Mischief is not only recognized for their individual lyrical prowess but also for being a part of the hip-hop collective, Hieroglyphics.

The group brought a unique flavor to the West Coast sound, reminiscent of groups like A Tribe Called Quest and The Pharcyde, while infusing their distinct style. Fans can look forward to freestyles that will transport them back to the golden era of hip-hop.

The event features special guests Breakbeat Lou & The Architect, as well as DJ Notion of musicNmind. Tickets to the show begin at $20. There will be a $5 surcharge at the door for ticketholders under 21 years of age. Further information is available on the AllEvents.com listing.
