The Golden Roses will be performing at Mercer Dancehall, a short distance from Austin, in mid-April.
The popular band features Mutchler on vocals and guitar; Heather Rae Johnson playing back-up vocals and fiddle; Shanwee Rose on drums; Troy Wilson on bass; and some extra help from some members of Mike and the Moonpies.
The Golden Roses combine Western swing and Lone Star tradition. Their second studio album, “The Devil’s in the Details” outlines their experiences on the road in its writing, as well as personal trials and tribulations. The band has had several hit albums and singles including “Sawed Off & Hauled Off,” “San Antonio by Sundown,” “Top Shelf Whiskey – Live,” “Smell the Roses,” “Bad Habit,” and “The Usual Suspects.”

The Golden Roses performance at Mercer Dancehall will take place on Friday, April 16 beginning at 8:00 pm and running until 11:30 pm. There is an $8 fee for admission. Happy Hours at the venue opens at 4:00 pm and goes through 7:00 pm. The venue has added a “Mercer Diner” to their establishment where a limited menu will be available.
