The Blue Genie Art Bazaar will help Austin welcome the holiday season with the annual shopping extravaganza.
Artisans and craft makers will present a range of unique gifts including paintings, prints, jewelry, glassworks, clothing, sculptures, ceramics, and other Forms of art.
Artists with high-quality handmade items are encouraged to participate. Artists are selected based on the style, affordability, and volume in order to meet the demands of the public. The Blue Genie event is unique in the fact the artists do not man their booths or handle the sales. All sales are handled through a centralized checkout area just like in a retail store. Participating artists will pay an application fee and a commission to the show based on the sale, usually ranging from 35-45%.
Artists are encouraged to create more artworks to meet the high-volume anticipated at the show. Organizers recommend that the artists promote the event through their social media networks and the use of promotional materials.
Vendors, craftsmen, and hobbyists participating in public festivals, shows and fairs often use local printing services to prepare. Flyer printing in advance of the show creates information to hand out or distribute outlining the event and promoting their products.
The 2020 Blue Genie Art Bazaar will take place November 13 to December 24. It will be held at the Blue Genie Big Top located at 6100 Airport Blvd.
