Wave, born Gerald Glisson, is a rapper raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. His first album, "Pray 4 Love," dropped in 2019, earning acclaim for its emotive lyrics set to trap beats. His breakout came with "Heart on Ice," gaining streaming and social media attention. Featuring Lil Baby, this collaboration boosted his career, leading to hits like “Stuck,” and “Rags2Riches.”
The title track from "Pray 4 Love" landed on the United States Billboard’s number 10 spot and 5th on the United States’ Top Hip-Hop and R&B charts. His EP "Ghetto Gospel," released in 2020, received favorable reviews as well. Collaborations with artists like YNW Melly, NBA YoungBoy, and the aforementioned Lil Baby further expanded his reach.
