Rodeo Austin’s annual Fair and Rodeo returns to the Texas capital next month with competitions, concerts, carnival rides, a livestock show and other special entertainment.
The pro-rodeo event is one of the top competitions in the country, featuring bareback and bull riding, barrel racing and the much-loved mutton bustin’ in which youngsters see how long they can hold on to the back of a sheep.
In the main rodeo, the top riders will take part in a bracket-style competition to determine the overall champions. Live musical performances on the main stage are held in conjunction with each rodeo event. This year's line-up of country music artists includes Braxton Keith, Walker Hayes, Gary Allen, Luke Grimes, the Bellamy Bros, and more.
More than 80 games and rides are featured in the adjacent large outdoor carnival where families can enjoy a range of food and other vendors. There will also be a cowboy breakfast and barbecue cook-off competition.
Rodeo Austin has been presenting the official sport of Texas since 1938, growing from a small stock show to become a multi-faceted major annual event. As a non-profit group, its mission is to entertain fans and encourage the next generation of competitors. Organizations such as this often use poster printing to highlight their upcoming events.
The Austin rodeo and fair will be held March 14 to 29, 2025 at the Austin Fairgrounds on Decker Lake Road.
