The HAMM Day Music Festival will feature as many as 250 performances at more than 100 venues in Austin.
Known as the world’s largest local single-day music festival, HAMM Day has twice won the Austin Music Award for most creative event.
HAMM is the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, which was started in 2005 as a means for low-income musicians and deejays to access healthcare. Those who created the program recognized that a lack of access to affordable health care was a barrier to musicians pursuing their dreams. The music festival is HAMM’s most important annual fundraising event and this year is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Music will be heard in stores and restaurants, on rooftops, in parks and many other locations over the 24 hours of the festival.
The non-profit organization raises funds from the many businesses whose sponsorships make the free festival possible. In 2025, HAMM will support as many as 3200 musicians and over the years has provided more than $200 million in health and dental care assistance.
