The Dallas vs. Austin Poetry Jam Showcase and Open Mic will take place this week at The Historic Victory Grill in Austin.
Billed as the Hottest Spoken Word Poets from across the state will converge at the venue to show their best when it comes to thought-evoking vibes. The Slam Team, an award-winning poetry group, will bring their unique style to the attendees.
The event will be hosted by Brandon Thornton. DJ Urban Mello will add to the ambiance with some music to accompany the poetry reading. Open Mic spots are limited so anyone interested in participating should contact the event organizers to RSVP with their performance interest, or call 512.645.6810.

The Dallas vs. Austin Poetry Jam Showcase and Open Mic will take place this Friday, May 7 from 8:00 to 11:30 pm. Doors will open at 8:00 pm, and the show will start promptly at 8:30 pm. Tickets are available for pre-sale, VIP and reserved seating. General seating tickets are $15.00; reserved seating is $25.00. Reserved table seating starts at $60.00 and the VIP section for four is $125.00.
