Operating Lego and model railroads of different reduced scales and sizes will be featured at the upcoming Austin Train Show.
Multiple model train clubs are expected to participate in the exhibition, which is now in its 53rd year. Presented by the Austin Model Railroad Society (AMRS), the two-day show will cover over 25,000 square feet of convention hall space.
The AMRS was established in 2017 to not only provide model train enthusiasts with an organization through which they can meet and work together, but also to promote interest in railway history and educate the public. The annual train show is a way for society members and other exhibitors to share their hobby with people of all ages.
The show offers attendees the chance to take self-guided tours of the many model railroad displays and browse the hundreds of vendor tables. Children can also enjoy rides on the Kiddie Express train.
Informative clinics will be held on both days and include beginner instruction on how to get involved in the popular hobby as well as advanced learning in model railway electronics, railway layouts and associated buildings.
Clubs and organizations who host large shows such as this often use poster printing to get the word out.
The AMRS train show will be held August 23 and 24, 2025 at the Palmer Events Center. Further information, including event tickets, is available on the society's website.
