The block at 1400 Main Street in downtown Columb is being redeveloped as part of the new Municipal Complex of the city. The mixed-use development adjacent to the Main Street District, called ōLiv Columbia, will also be part of this development.
The building at 1401 Main Street is 12 stories high and will be transformed into a centralized Municipal Services Complex to streamline operations, improve accessibility, and modernize the delivery of public services. The renovation will include redesigned interiors, structural upgrades, and a more modern exterior and a pedestrian friendly street with seating, trees, and bike racks.
Inside, there will be flexible collaboration areas, modern workspaces, and a first-floor lobby that will welcome the public with spaces to support small businesses and community engagement and a café.

These projects are being called an economic investment that will be one of the most significant in years on Main Street. These projects will attract private investment, expand options for retail and housing, streamline the delivery of public services, and energize the experience in downtown Columbia to further support strategic economic development across the city.
Mayor Daniel Rickenmann said that this revitalization of the new municipal complex and ōLiv Columbia is a major milestone for the future of downtown and all the residents of the city.
