A St. Patrick’s Day party is planned in Leechburg. The event is known as the “Small Town, Loud Voice” celebration, and the money raised from it will go to a good cause.
Semper Gratus, a non-profit organization that raises funds to support children with life-threatening conditions, is the host for the combined dance and fundraiser, which includes a 50/50 raffle, the auction of a gift basket, light refreshments, music, and an open bar offering soda, beer, and water.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their Irish lucky charms or wear their green clothes or hat, and invite their family and friends as well. This is the seventh year for the event. Hosts of events like this might like to think about using banner printing to create themed decorations.
The money raised will go to support major causes—Cerebral Palsy, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Over the years since the event began, Semper Gratus has raised approximately $140,000.
COVID protocols in place at the time of the event will be observed. These including encouraging mask wearing by anyone moving throughout the venue, and using the provided sanitation stations.
“Small Town, Loud Voice” is scheduled for March 12 at 6:00 pm at the West Leechburg Fire Department Social Hall on Gosser Street. The event is for those 21 years of age and older only, and attendees will be asked for their IDs at the door.
