Armstrong County Community Foundation is running its annual Week of Giving fundraiser this spring.
During the week, nonprofits host open houses and other events, while members of the community are encouraged to donate to participating organizations either online or in person. Last year’s Week of Giving raised nearly $500,000 for organizations in a variety of areas, including arts groups, public libraries, historical societies, and food banks. A list of participating nonprofits and details about the event schedule will be available on the Armstrong County Community Foundation’s website soon.
Qualifying nonprofits can also receive donations from the Bonus Fund. These funds are awarded based on pre-set criteria. Individuals and businesses in Leechburg and across the county can donate to the Bonus Fund instead of a specific organization to allow their contributions to support many different nonprofits. All donations go to participating nonprofits; the Community Foundation does not take a portion.
Supporters and participating organizations can use the Week of Giving logo, which is available for download on the Community Foundation’s website. Organizations often use Logo Design services to create special logos for their major fundraisers. Bonus Fund Partners will be acknowledged in social media posts, on the Week of Giving website, and on Signs in the Kittanning branch of NexTier Bank.
The Armstrong County Community Foundation Week of Giving will take place from Monday, May 11, to Friday, May 15.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design Get a Free Quote for Signs
