The 55th Annual Fort Armstrong Folk Festival will take place at Kittanning Riverfront Park this summer.
The festival offers four days of music performances, which will be taking place on both the main stage and the south stage. Bands and artists will include the Kittanning Fireman’s Band, Armstrong Taiko, Yinz & Roses, and HouseBand. Other entertainment will include a Saturday night fireworks show, a Jeep Fest, and a clown. The full lineup is available on the festival website.
There will also be food vendors and a juried Artist Market. Last year's art vendors offered crochet plushies, live caricature drawings, embroidered pieces, and handmade pet collars. Vendors often have Business Cards available at this type of event for those considering a future purchase.
The festival is popular with those in the area, including residents of Leechburg and other nearby towns, as well as those traveling for the event. The festival website includes a list of hotels close to the venue along with parking information. Limited street parking will be available, and festival attendees can also use the lots at two nearby churches.
The Fort Armstrong Folk Festival will be on Thursday, July 30 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Friday, July 31 from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm; Saturday, August 1 from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm; and Sunday, August 2 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm at Kittanning Riverfront Park.
