Riverbration, a three-day community event featuring boat races, will return to the Leechburg area this summer.
The Kittanning Boat Races event includes a car show, vendor area, food trucks, kids’ activities and a foam party. The powerboat races will take place on a one-mile course on the river on Saturday and Sunday. Details are available on the American Power Boat Association and local Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association websites. Other activities will include a bounce house, obstacle course and wagon rides.
Businesses interested in having a vendor table can contact the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber of Commerce to register. Vendors are responsible for their own tables, tents and cleanup, and electricity is available and included in the vendor fee.
The boat races are free to attend and open to everyone in the area, including residents of Leechburg and other neighboring towns. Organizers often use poster printing services to promote this type of community event. The weekend will open with a limited selection of vendors on Friday evening, and there will be a movie screening in the park at 9:00 pm.
The Kittanning Boat Races will be on Friday, August 14, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Saturday, August 15, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday, August 16, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, at Kittanning Riverfront Park.
