Unstick yourself networking in Canonsburg
An upcoming event in Canonsburg is designed to help businesspeople “Get Unstuck.”
Leadership Washington Company is holding a Masterclass on “Getting Unstuck: Navigating through Your Current Challenge.” The class centers on the question of how and when a businessperson on the rise can figure out when and how to make the next career move. The instructors note that people who try to make the move by themselves, and leave their comfort zone, often fail.
They also note that research has shown people early in their careers may think they are facing an individual challenge, but it is really an experience shared by many. The difficulty is that there is no way individuals can safely share their best practices, leaving people feeling they are unable to advance in their chosen field. People may feel uncomfortable and vulnerable sharing their ideas with leaders and co-workers, and so keep trying to find answers on their own.
The upcoming workshop will provide tips on how people can take responsibility for their career, and excite others by discussing best practices. Anticipated outcomes for participants include being able to authentically connect with others; sharing best practices to help everyone succeed; and gaining confidence to meet a challenge that currently has them “stuck.”
The workshop is 60 minutes long, and is scheduled for January 21 beginning at 11.30 am, at the Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg. Events like this provide good opportunities for attendees to share business cards.
