The city of Tigard will kick off its holiday season with a special evening of festivities and fun to be held in Liberty Park.
The location will be the site of the community’s tree lighting ceremony. Along with the twinkling lights, there will be music, cookies, hot chocolate and other treats to enjoy, and even Santa will be making an appearance. He will arrive at the event in style, riding on one of the fire department’s trucks that will be decked out just for the occasion.
The public is invited to bundle up warmly and come out for the evening. They can sing along to their favorite holiday tunes, take their picture with Santa and his helpers, and spend time with friends both old and new. There is no charge to take part in the evening’s activities, and all will be welcomed. The tree lighting will be held on December 2 in Liberty Park, starting at 6:45 pm, and it will run until 9:00 pm. The location can be found on Main Street, across from McDonalds restaurant near the intersection of Main and the Pacific Highway.
