Financing from Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (CPACE) in the amount of $25.6 million will be awarded to Cedarbrook Senior Living in Tigard.
This facility is on Hall Boulevard. The funding will be used to install advanced conservation and energy features inside the building which is four stories tall and will have 58 memory care units and 107 assisted living units.
These features will include a centralized hot water tank; high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; and LED lighting, among other features. Officials said that such features will provide long-term environmental benefits and operational savings with an estimated savings of $335,407 in utility expenses each year.

The CPACE program of Washington County was launched in 2022 and is administered by the Washington County Economic Development Office. Since its establishment, it has helped to finance over $44 million in improvements in three commercial buildings in Tigard, Hillsboro, and Beaverton.
Adrienne Chaillé, manager of Washington County Economic Development, said that Cedarbrook Senior Living is a prime example of how doors can be opened by CPACED for improvements to property that will make a difference. Chaillé added that this project will promote sustainability and economic goals as well as the older members of the community.
Cedarbrook Senior Living is scheduled to open next year.
