Tigard school district appoints assistant superintendent

The new assistant superintendent for the Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) will be Jeremiah Patterson. Patterson comes from the Gladstone School District where he served as superintendent.

Business card printing services are often called upon when such new positions are announced.

Patterson has had close to 10 years of top leadership in a school district. Iton Udosenata, superintendent TTSD, said that Dr. Patterson has the leadership and experience that aligns with the commitment of the district to the success of students and expressed his excitement in Patterson’s joining the school district.

Patterson was the superintendent of the Gladstone School District since 2024. That school district has 1,600 students while TTSG serves over 11,500 students. Patterson said:

“Public education is the cornerstone of our society.”

As both his parents were educators and his wife is an educator, he said that he has been invested in work focused on students his entire life. He added that he believes TTSD is where his continued professional learning and leadership can strengthen connections in the community and make a difference for students.

His new role will include leadership across a variety of programs and services, overseeing core instructional responsibilities, and being the second in command after the superintendent. His starting date is still to be determined as he is replacing Lisa McCall, who is retiring June 30.
