Tigard residents invited to enjoy drama

A community theater group in Tigard will be staging a production of a play written by Horton Foote.

Under the direction of Joe Silva, the Mask and Mirror Community Theater will be putting on performances of ‘The Trip to Bountiful’, which it describes as “a gentle drama about family, aging and one's home place”.

It tells the story of an elderly widow and her journey back to the town and home she knew and loved, and also the knowledge she gained once she reached her destination. A Print company can produce programs and other materials that can help to make community theater productions such as this a success.

To help mark the play’s opening night, there will be a gala celebration for those who purchase tickets for the Saturday show. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and the audience will have an opportunity to meet and talk with the cast and crew after the curtain falls.

The opening night for the play, which will be staged at Calvin Presbyterian Church, is Saturday, February 27, starting at 7:30 pm. The show runs until March 20, with performances taking place on both Saturdays and Sundays. The ticket price is $15 for adults, and $12 for seniors and those in the military.
