A Multi-City Equity Summit will be hosted by the Lake Oswego School District (LOSD) later this fall.
Other sponsors and school districts working with the LOSD in putting together this summit are the Tigard Tualatin and West Linn-Wilsonville school districts in addition to the cities of West Lynn, Tualatin, Lake Oswego, and Tigard. Organizations that are also participating on putting together this summit include the West Linn and Lake Oswego Police departments and several community organizations.
Events such as this one often turn to Promotional Products to advertise themselves to the community.
The summit is designed to help people better understand barriers to equity among the races, how people in their communities respond to problems in their local governments, schools, and neighborhoods regarding diversity and inclusion, and how these issues can be handled at the local level.
There will be workshops, panel discussions, and speakers at the summit to promote dialogue, learning, and action. It is hoped that attendees will come away from the summit with the ability to help break down barriers among the races in their communities and develop plans for inclusion. Among those who are encouraged to attend are teachers, administrators, residents, and representatives from government, business, and civic organizations.
The summit will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday October 19 at the Lake Oswego High School.
