The Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Park Passport Program this month.
The goal of this program is to encourage residents to visit each of the 18 parks in the city, look for a Park Passport sign with a clue, and then add the word “clue” to the book once the sign is found.
The Park Passport is available online or printed Copies can be picked up at the Fanno Creek House on SW Hall Boulevard. Local Print shops are often utilized to Print hard Copies of such passports for those who may not be able to Print out a copy from a computer.
Community engagement program coordinator for the Tigard Public Works Department, Marissa Grass, said that there has been interest from the community expressed in this program and it is expected that many will visit the parks and submit their passports.
Once people have visited all the parks and have found the clues they can submit a hard copy of their passport to the Parks and Recreation Department, or email it to the department. Everyone who submits a passport will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift card from a local business in Tigard. The passport program ends on Sunday, October 31.
Winners of these prizes will be notified by the department on Tuesday, November 2.
