Fearlandia, a massive haunted house created by Brad Dascomb and business partner Tim Devlaeminck in Tigard, is currently opened for the Halloween season.
What was once an event of a modest 1,000 square feet in size is now a 7,500 square feet spectacular put together within a large pole tent. New this year as part of the attraction is the frightening shack T.J.’s Backyard, as well as Into the Darkness.
Dascomb is a contractor by day and the lighting and electrical talents of Devlaeminck enable him to create the eerie shadows and lights that make the house come alive. Both have traveled to other haunted houses in the area, in surrounding communities, and even to a haunted house convention in St. Louis to get ideas for their creation.
A monetary donation is being made by Fearlandia to the Tigard Snowboard Team, as many of its members are volunteering to help during the days it is opened. Special nights are also being designated for reduced rates when attendees bring a nonperishable food item for the Sunshine Division of the Portland Police Bureau.
Fearlandia is opened Fridays through Sundays during October, and on Halloween night itself.
Banner printing can be used to create displays that can be posted throughout the community to inform residents of such special activities and their charitable efforts.
