New affordable housing opens in Tigard

The Terrace Glen Apartments in Tigard are now open.

This is an intergenerational development with 144 units. It is on S.W. Greenburg Road, on a piece of land that covers 2.88 acres located across the street from Washington Square, and is close to community centers and parks. The developer was Related Northwest, and the cost was $51.2m. It was built with funding from Metro affordable housing bonds approved by voters five years ago.

It has three four-bedroom apartments, 13 three-bedroom apartments, 58 two-bedroom apartments, 41 one-bedroom apartments, and 49 studio apartments. There are three apartments designated for homeless youth who are between 18 and 24 years old, and these individuals will also be provided with social services.

Two buildings are two stories tall with an inner courtyard serving as a communal area. It has a barbecue and a playground. There are amenities surrounding the courtyard that include a teen lounge, a community room with kitchen, a laundry, and an arts and crafts space, as well as parking for 83 bicycles and 141 cars. Access to public transportation to Beaverton Transit Center and other destinations is across the street.

Brochure printing is often used to highlight the features and amenities of such projects.

Stefanie Kondor, Vice President at Related Northwest, said this is a multifamily project that is one of the largest completed by the company.
